Lead Forward: Strengthening Operations Leadership

Our culture is foundational to who we are at Greenheck Group. One of the many legacies instilled in our culture is the importance of investing in our people — and making sure we have the best possible people leaders.

Did you know our frontline operations leaders directly supervise more than two-thirds of our organization? That’s over 3,000 team members who rely on production supervisors, material specialists, and maintenance supervisors for direction, clarity, and support every day. We recently launched a leadership development series for our frontline operations leaders. Named “Lead Forward,” it isn’t a traditional classroom training, but instead, an experience built around real situations our leaders may encounter in their roles. Through hands-on activities, reflection, and practical application, our production leaders strengthen skills they can use immediately. This approach builds confidence, deepens self awareness, and equips leaders with practical tools they can use on the shop floor, as well as any other environment.

So far, 131 frontline leaders have begun their Lead Forward journeys, attending two of the three initial development sessions, with the third session scheduled for February. A role that is always evolving, every supervisor knows the work doesn’t stand still — production demands shift, new technologies emerge, and customer expectations evolve. Because of this, the role of a supervisor continues to evolve right alongside the business. Lead Forward reinforces a core belief of ours: leadership is not a one-time skill set, but an ongoing practice. As the workplace changes, so must the leaders who guide it.

What can our production team members expect? The goal with Lead Forward is to reinforce the culture and values that shape how we work, grow, and deliver for our customers. Our operations leaders are learning to do this through critical strengths like effective communication, emotional intelligence, and coaching.

These skills not only support today’s work — they also help leaders adapt to tomorrow’s challenges. By strengthening the ability to learn, adjust, and continuously improve, supervisors are better equipped to lead teams through change with confidence. And this is only the beginning. Phase two will focus on essential technical skills that our supervisors need to drive operational excellence.

As Greenheck Group continues to grow and evolve, the organization remains committed to investing in people and developing our people leaders. Lead Forward exemplifies this commitment — helping supervisors build the mindset and habits that support continuous learning, long-term development, and
readiness for the future.
