Brothers Bob and Bernie Greenheck returned from World War II to their hometown of Schofield, Wisconsin with grit and gumption enough to try their hands at starting a business. And like many young entrepreneurs, they tried a few things before they got it right – with a small sheet metal shop and one employee.
They couldn’t have predicted that what they started in 1947 has become a global manufacturing leader with 5,000+ team members in 8 states, Mexico, and India.

Our History of Growth and Innovation

1947

Made $35,000 in sales making rotary turbines with three team members in Schofield, WI

1969

Successfully added our second facility in Schofield, WI

1978

Surpassed $20 Million in sales; Introduced a revolutionary Quick Delivery Program and built a National Distribution Center (NDC) in Schofield, WI

1984

Introduced an innovative Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) program

1991

Established the Quarter Century Club to celebrate team members who have been with us for 25+ years; 42 team members were inducted

1993

Reached 700 team members

1995

Surpassed $100 Million in sales

1996

Reopened the newly renovated Education Center in Schofield, WI

2001

Surpassed $200 Million in sales

2002

Introduced our Greenheck Group Performance Systems (GPS) program, our version of Six Sigma

2003

Acquired Innovent, Inc., a Minnesota-based manufacturing company; reached 1,550 team members

2004

Won Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year, a prestigious award reflecting the strengths of the entire company

2005

Surpassed $360 Million in sales; acquired Precision Coils, a Tennessee-based manufacturing company; reached 2,100 team members

2007

Introduced a new commercial brand, Accurex, while celebrating 60 years in business

2009

Purchased our third Mobile Learning Center; Quarter Century Club surpasses 200 members

2013

Expanded operations in North Carolina with facilities in Shelby and Kings Mountain; awarded Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year for the second time

2014

Opened facilities in India and California; broke ground on the Innovation Center in Schofield, WI; Quarter Century Club surpasses 350 members

2017

Broke ground on our Tulsa, Oklahoma campus

2018

Precison Coils team in Brownsville, TN earns Industry of the Year Award

2019

Sales surpassed $880 Million as we expanded to nearly 3,800 team members; won Forbes America’s Best Midsized Employer

2020

Pandemic causes shifts in working environments globally as we adapted to change and pivoted operations for continued success

2021

Acquired Metal Industries, a manufacturing company with locations in Florida, North Carolina, and Mexico

2022

Celebrated 75 years of industry success; surpassed $1 Billion in sales

2023

Won Forbes America’s Best Midsized Employer for the fourth time
