The strength that comes from working across business units to serve our customers is unstoppable. Tulsa’s Rooftop Unit (RTU) team did not wait for perfect conditions. We got to work serving our customers seven months before the new facility was even finished.
Production began in March in Tulsa’s DOAS 2 plant, where the team operated while construction was ongoing on RTU’s future home. During that time, RTU produced 33 units to go on top of our new facility. But that wasn’t all the team accomplished.
In the roughly seven months in our temporary space, the team produced 68 additional units for customers. That production came in large part due to the teamwork shown by several business units, including DOAS, that helped with fabrication and foam.
And get going we did. Brian said it takes some time to get the word out about our new RTU product, so having an “incubation period” in the temporary space to start producing gave our team a huge head start.
“Now, we’re growing pretty quickly,” he said.
RTU’s new home will allow for a big ramp up in production, where we will eventually be able to produce nearly 30 units per day. As our reputation for rooftop units continues to grow alongside our other Greenheck Group products, when a customer needs an RTU, we will be the team they turn to first.
