We’re excited to launch a project to implement a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across Greenheck Group manufacturing plants. This MES platform will replace the current Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) system, significantly enhancing the shop floor, assisting with machine connectivity, and helping team members in their jobs on a regular basis.
The project is expected to be completed in FY28, rolled out in phases with individual facilities undergoing shorter implementation periods within the three-to-four-year project window. The new MES platform is a critical software system that helps our manufacturing operations and will provide a substantial competitive advantage to our business units.
Currently, we rely on MII, which has been supplemented over the years with various in-house programs. However, this collection of tools will be replaced by one uniform MES that integrates seamlessly with our enterprise resource planning system (SAP) and our shop floor machines. Our current programs are not sufficient to support Greenheck Group’s rapid growth and the fast-paced technological advancements in the industry; and SAP is ending support for the MII at the end of 2027.
We are actively assembling the project team to lead the MES implementation. Multiple roles are currently posted on our careers site, and the team is expected to be in place this fall. Check out available open positions now!
Ultimately, this project will impact all team members who are involved with MII or manufacturing operations– essentially, most of the company. We will start with the RTU business unit in October, continuing implementations over the next several years. The MES team will ensure that members receive regular communications, comprehensive training, and support.
The new MES is a significant investment in our operations. It will create a competitive advantage and support Greenheck Group’s future direction.
