Veterans Day is only one day each year, but the significance is year-round at Greenheck Group. When company founders Bob and Bernie Greenheck returned home from serving in World War II, it was important to them that veterans had opportunities for employment.
Today, we’re proud that over 300 veterans have chosen careers with Greenheck Group. Every Veterans Day, we set out to honor veterans at each location. This year, veterans celebrations included food, a custom gift and video featuring Wittenberg Elementary and Middle School students (WI).
At Wisconsin’s Veterans Day events, team members Nicholas Crochiere and Brian Southworth shared information on the Veterans Network, a GEN (Greenheck Group Employee Network) with the mission to connect, engage, and communicate with veterans across the organization. The Veterans Network also serves to promote veteran benefits outside the company, local and national resources, and other support channels our veterans may not be aware of.
“We want to continue the legacy Bob and Bernie started by making sure our current and future veterans are supported,” said Nicholas, Veterans Network leadership team member and Army veteran. “The Veterans Network is a starting point to do that.”
