Weathering The Storm Together

This fall, living the Greenheck Group values went beyond the workplace and into the homes of our team members and communities affected by the devastating hurricanes in the southern and eastern United States.

In late October, Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton made landfall just days apart, leaving many of our East Coast team members and their families with flooding, no power, and in need of essential resources. Without hesitation, team members jumped into action to provide support, both in person and across state lines. Monetary donation links to the local American Red Cross were shared, while those located near impact areas organized the delivery of canned goods, bottled water, hygiene products, clothing, and more to those in need.

Production supervisor Erik Hogan and his wife, material handler La La Hogan, brought a truckload of items to a local collection site in North Carolina. HR business partner Amy McDougal visited the site in Cleveland County and was stunned by the amount of support.

“It was impressive that so many local residents and Greenheck Group team members shared their own resources to help with relief in western North Carolina,” said Amy.

Greenheck Group’s shared services teams worked around the clock to ensure team members in need were connected to available resources and community partners for support. Shelby and Kings Mountain team members collected water, supplies, and Greenheck Group apparel to be delivered to Marion team members. Meals were cooked for each shift, and carts of non-perishable goods were made available in break rooms for team members who needed them.

“We have cried together yet counted our blessings. We are a family that pulls together for each other and it shows,” said Amy.

Greenheck Group team members know the true meaning of what it means to live our values.
