They say a company is either growing or shrinking. It reflects the constant motion of business and that is certainly true for our industry, where customer expectations, technology, and demand continue to evolve. That’s why investments being made right now on a nearly 400-acre piece of land in Knoxville, Tennessee are so encouraging.
While the manufacturing industry continues to navigate a period of slower growth and labor constraints, Greenheck Group’s investment in Knoxville demonstrates the fact that we are winning customers over our competitors; and reflects the confidence they have in our products and our people.
It’s an exciting time in Tennessee. We’re just months away from opening our 6th damper plant in Knoxville, and the walls of our 3rd architectural products plant have started to go up. Soon, these two 200,000-square-foot facilities will be fully operational. With the opening of these, and future facilities in Tennessee, comes the chance for new jobs and new opportunities.
A few Greenheck Group team members are already on the ground—and already they’ve seen hundreds of applications for the few jobs we’ve posted. The investment also continues to strengthen our value of being “easy to do business with”. Did you know that 83 percent of our sales come from east of the Rockies? And almost 80 percent of those sales are within about a day’s drive of Knoxville. That means we continue to provide our customers with what they value most: the same high-quality products we’ve made for nearly 80 years, delivered quickly at a competitive cost.
Regardless of where this occurs, it means we can continue investing in our people and operations. We’re upfitting Facility 4 in Schofield, building a new clinic in North Carolina, dazzling reps and customers with our brand-new RTU factory and customer education center in Tulsa, among many other projects.
Our commitment to expanding in Knoxville enforces this simple point: we’re a healthy, growing company, and we continue to make investments and decisions that win over customers, ensuring we’re growing, not shrinking.
