Meet Our Team: Matt Brandt, WI

Friendly, calm, reliable team player—that’s how Sr. Production Supervisor, Dave Bauer, describes Wisconsin team member Matt Brandt.

Matt has been a Greenheck Group team member for nearly 18 years, starting in Louvers in Facility 5, then working in Curbs before working his way to a specialized production role on our ceiling team.

In addition to his daily responsibilities, Matt is a mentor for the GET Academy—a partnership between Greenheck Group, DC Everest School District, and Northern Valley Industries. The program grants students with disabilities a chance to gain valuable skills to aid in the transition from school to the workforce.

“Matt came to mind immediately when the GET Academy opportunity came up and he didn’t hesitate to jump right in.” said Dave.

As a mentor, Matt works side-by-side with students to train and support them. This school year, he has mentored two students, one of whom has been hired on as a team member.

Having supervised Matt for nearly two years, Dave dubs him as an “informal leader,” noting that his fellow teammates often take notice and follow his example. Whether it’s a machine malfunction, unexpected staffing challenge, or training need, Matt’s team members turn to him for support, asking questions and trusting his expertise.

“He comes to work every day with a ‘can do’ attitude. If something doesn’t go according to plan or we need to make an adjustment, he gets down to business,” said Dave. “He’s the kind of guy who says he’s just doing his job, no matter the impact of the project he accomplishes.”

That sort of humility certainly aligns with the approach that Bob and Bernie Greenheck had in 1947. Team members like Matt are a reminder of what living our values truly means. His commitment to his work, his team, and the community embody our slogan of “inspired people doing extraordinary things.”
