Powering the Next Chapter through KVS Smart Automation

Over the past five years, Greenheck Group has made a significant investment in automation across our Kitchen Ventilation Systems (KVS) operations—an investment designed with a few goals in mind, focusing on both our customers and our team members.

For our team members, automation means a more consistent process, less manual handling, and
increasing overall safety on the production floor. For customers, that translates into more dependable quality and faster turnaround times.

Our journey began five years ago with a focus on increasing capacity and standardizing production at our KVS plant in Tulsa. These efforts resulted in a 50% increase in production capacity and the implementation of an 80/20 manufacturing model, helping our team streamline processes while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

In 2021, we expanded our fabrication capabilities by purchasing and launching a PRIMA system at our Kings Mountain, North Carolina plant. This was followed by a multi-year Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) effort for kitchen hoods from 2022 through 2024. While largely behind the scenes, this work from the engineering, systems and production teams was critical and ensured our products were designed to support automation, improve consistency, and reduce potential quality and safety risks.

We are proud of these efforts across the KVS team, living up to our Greenheck Group reputation of being easy to do business with. As a business unit, we will continue to deliver greater and greater value to our customers well into the future.
