Powering Uline’s Growth through Partnership

Our TAP and Axial teams recently completed major projects for Uline, one of the world’s largest distributors of shipping, packaging, and industrial supplies. The team’s efforts highlight our commitment to being easy to do business with, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, and driving continuous improvement through innovation and teamwork.

As a high-profile customer, Uline often requires complex solutions with fast turnarounds. Our team members across engineering, scheduling, and production worked together to deliver on Uline’s demands on a recent project by prioritizing the orders, reorganizing schedules, and staying laser-focused on execution.

Our Wisconsin TAP team recently produced MSU-35 make-up air units for Uline’s new 1.25 million-square-foot warehouse in Plainfield, Conn. Despite a tight deadline, the team delivered early, helping Uline stay on track with its construction milestones.

Engineers also partnered with Uline’s controls group to build and test solutions directly on campus, reinforcing the collaborative approach. “It’s the power of the package,” said Dustin Woosley. “When we bring together a portfolio of solutions, we’re showcasing value and creating a quality customer experience.”

The Axial team collaborated with Uline to transition from belt-driven fans to direct drive EC motors, projected to save nearly $1 million per building. Uline also required a custom control sequence ensuring fans could not operate until dampers fully opened, eliminating the risk of equipment failure.

Working with ABB and Uline, the team developed new wiring parameters, reworked units already in production, and provided programming tools for future ease of use. They also ensured the visual alignment of 119 units to meet Uline’s strict design standards.

Through faster lead times, custom engineering, and hands-on collaboration, Greenheck Group strengthened its role as a trusted partner. For Uline, the result was staying on schedule and improving long-term efficiency. For TAP and Axial teams, it was a chance to live out our values—making it easy to do business with us, and continuously improving through innovation and teamwork.
