The DOAS Large Case Plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently completed the first customer production run of the new DOAS XL Case—an important step forward for the DOAS product line and for our continued commitment to meeting customer needs.
The DOAS XL Case was developed to answer a clear market demand: larger, more capable systems that can support today’s bigger and more complex buildings. With expanded capacity options up to 100 tons, the XL case allows customers to use DOAS solutions in applications where limitations might have driven customers to our competitors. But this new offering means we’re able to meet our customers where they’re at, making it easier for them to specify, purchase, and install a solution that fits their project.
From the start, the DOAS team focused on designing a product that balances performance, quality, and manufacturability. Developed throughout FY25 and released to our Computer Aided Product Selection program (CAPS) in August 2025, the XL Case is the first major product to move through the updated DOAS new product development process. That process helped ensure our talented team members could build the design efficiently and reliably, while still delivering the performance customers expect from us.
Strong collaboration was key to this success. Engineering, production, manufacturing engineering, and systems teams worked closely together—building and refining multiple prototypes—to ensure the product was ready for full production. Early use of automation helped align the design with real-world manufacturing capabilities and supported a smoother production launch.
Equally important was clear communication throughout development. The updated product development framework allowed our team members to learn faster, solve challenges earlier, and minimize disruptions to existing production—benefits that ultimately flow through to customers.
The successful first production run of the DOAS XL Case reflects Greenheck Group’s ongoing investment in people, processes, and products.
